One of our favorite spots during this season is Knob Hill Christmas Lights. We made it by just in time to talk to Santa but with rain starting on Dec 23rd and Mr Gifillen said he would have to shut the lights down for safety if the storm came in.

Elaborate Christmas exhibit has grown into a tradition for visitors, as well as the family that created it
People have all sorts of reasons for why they bought their houses. For San Marcos resident Bill Gilfillen, 70, it was a spacious front yard divided into three sections. Gilfillen is no gardener or landscaper � unless you count a large display of Christmas lights, figures and decorations that he has planted on his lawn each holiday season for almost 20 years. In that time, Gilfillen has amassed an amazing collection � about 95,000 lights, animated figures and 80 snowmen. Thousands of people stop by his house on Knob Hill Road to admire his setup.
