I watched the sunset on December 26, 2008 right in front of this rock-art on the beach. It was windy and cold but people were walking, talking, taking photos of the sunset… Sometimes impossible to find "quiet-time" in the city…but I was awed by these rocks balanced magically in the midst of natures beauty…. my enjoyment was short-lived as a gust of wind came by and the rocks came tumbling down reminding me that balancing life has many obstacles….but for that short moment in time, it felt so nice.

Santa finally came….. about 4:30am….then I got to play with my best friend Mocha at 6:30am…. we both got cool jingle bell necklaces and ran through the neighborhood like reindeer….. what a fun fun morning!!!!! Mocha sang some song to me…. "wild-thing, you make my heart sing, you make everything groovy"…. he's my Boyfriend! It was cold and rainy outside….now a time to snuggle and rest… well I do still have toys to play with…

One of our favorite spots during this season is Knob Hill Christmas Lights. We made it by just in time to talk to Santa but with rain starting on Dec 23rd and Mr Gifillen said he would have to shut the lights down for safety if the storm came in.
Dazzling display – SignOnSanDiego.comElaborate Christmas exhibit has grown into a tradition for visitors, as well as the family that created itPeople have all sorts of reasons for why they bought their houses. For San Marcos resident Bill Gilfillen, 70, it was a spacious front yard divided into three sections. Gilfillen is no gardener or landscaper unless you count a large display of Christmas lights, figures and decorations that he has planted on his lawn each holiday season for almost 20 years. In that time, Gilfillen has amassed an amazing collection about 95,000 lights, animated figures and 80 snowmen. Thousands of people stop by his house on Knob Hill Road to admire his setup.
