I was able to get around the city without getting lost…. Marty finished work early and took me to Japanese lunch …first Japanese food I have had since I left San Diego.  

Marty took me to the Meji Shrine located amist hundreds of year old trees that quiet the noise of the

city and all you can hear is the peaceful sounds of nature.  You would never know you are still

right in the heart of the giant city of Toyko.

There were several weddings going on and got some cool and fun photos.   One little girl loved having her photo taken and did some posing for me. 

Marty is having a blast using my coolest lens  18-200 and can really zoom in and get some 

great shots!  Makes it fun to share cause I'm using wide-angle and fisheye…. completely different perspectives…   I LOVE these shots he got!

It is suppose to be sunshine today…. the only day I'm here…. So once again,  I'll go out into the sea of buildings and scurry like all the other people going someplace.  

Marty used his GPS to find his way thru the maze…. he will show me some tips hopefully this afternoon for taking the train and hopefully a more peaceful scenic place than mile high wall to wall buildings.  If not, I'll put my fisheye lens on and view the earth filled with skyscrapers.

I have my landmarks now and maybe I will be more successful today than before.  So far it's been a tearful experience and I don't cry easily.

It rained first 2 days..  The people are slow to get to know but eventually warm and friendly like Korea. I was lost for hours in the pouring rain…  I brought one pair of shoes that are now drenched completely thru.  I've  not found  Zen here yet….   It's a lot of people, umbrellas, bicycles, cars, and tall buildings.    

Very Pretty at night time and My favorite food is Japanese food but my husband does not like the food much…so far we eat in the hotel mostly…..He's a world traveler and I've not had much international experience and finding it hard to figure out what is going on and the pace is so fast…. can't really stop to think cause the sidewalks are moving alive with people at hurried pace…sometimes running, bicycling and they may be small but they know where they are going…. and there is not much room to step aside.   The rains and sea of umbrellas made it more difficult to see where you are going and cold and wet too.

My feet are soaked, my hair is frizzed,    I asked directions of 2 cap drives, 5 police/security guards with a Hilton card and Nishi-Shinjuku-6-chrome Shinjuku-ku and they could only show me where I was on the

map in Japanese….. OMG…. what a first couple of days….

Everything about Korea was peaceful and beautiful.  I really enjoyed it.  The people were the best part… gorgeous and friendly!  The fashion was stunning!   I love the look!

Now in Japan…. a new atmosphere….. big big city and lots of hustle and bustle…. everything is moving…. beautifully manicured from landscape to foods…

Ahhhh  Cass Beer!

I went out to Namdaemum Traditional Marketplace at 8AM and the shop keepers were setting up…streets were quite..except for bicycles and motorcycle delivering supplies…..I was out of there by 9AM …it was so full of people could barely move….  going back to check out more….. there seems to be no end to the streets, undergrounds, and corners with shops and more shops….

Great trip so far…. so many new friends and I love it here!  Back to Japan on Wed….
