Met a lady in Mission Valley, she was from Coronado Island who told me about the Music Museum 3 miles from my home in La Costa…. sure enough, it was a delightful place!images shot with canon G10 ©copyright Cass Greene 2009Fun videos taken with canon G10

OMG it's been sooooooo long….
It seems like a long time since I've blogged…. well since March and it's July… dud!Lots to catch up on…. First I'll backtrack…..On Sunday, June 28th at 7:30am after a beautiful hour walk with my dobie, Quigley,I gave her a bath and then was cleaning the shower…. hard fall, hit my head, and shoulder…put ice pack and took a Motrin…. 2 hours later, in emergency, discovered had a proximalhumerus fracture of the shoulder in two places at the upper end of the humeral head in theball joint. Ouch! Spent the next two days in x-rays, cat-scans and in emergency, castingand orthopedics…. the pain radiates all the way to the fingertips with little to no movement inmy left arm (shoulder to fingers)… then came the swelling…oh my! Next is the bruising andI mean purple of the richest color…Doctors said no activity for 4-6 weeks, sling for 2-4 months… healing will take 12+ months…Let me tell you just a few things you "can-NOT" do with just one hand…. open a bottle of water, open a bottle of wine, open a carton of milk, put a trash bag liner in a trash can, brush your hair, put your hair in a pony tail, cut up food, open a child-proof pill bottle, type on a keyboard, cutroses, open a zip-lock bag, put camera on a trip-pod, manage a large camera, changebatteries in SB800 flashes, even put on clothes other than a super XXXL button shirt,(bending the arm just was not going to happen…) there are many more…but you get the idea….Weeks 1 & 2 Most of the swelling went away the first week…. with ice packs, meds,Traumeel, Arnica and massage therapy… (Physical Therapy after 4 weeks)Week 3 Swelling is going down but bruising is rich purple…In my 3rd week, I started to feel better enough to want to start some beach walking….and I miss taking pictures of everything…. but could not do much with my Nikon or at the computer either…so it's just me & my little Sony camera as I recover…..Be it by the Ocean or by the Sea, Near the Water is where I long to be…“The least movement is of importance to all nature. The entire ocean is affected by a pebble.”“May your joys be as deep as the ocean, your sorrows as light as its foam.”“The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, thesound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach”“Have a deep respect for the source of life and also for the ocean, for the forest, for the stars and for the truth.”“Eternity begins and ends with the ocean's tides.”“I pray to be like the ocean, with soft currents, maybe waves at times.More and more, I want the consistency rather than the highs and the lows.”©Cass Greene 2009 Sony Cyber-Shot 10.1 Megapixel -
